I design online interactions & experiences that bring people together.

Thanks for coming to my little internet world 🗺 My name is Nate Bennett! I’m currently a student at the University of Michigan (go blue!) studying User Experience Design and Data Science. I’ve previously worked in UX roles at Figma researching Figma Community and at Autodesk on an internal employee tool.

Technology excites me as a tool to build community and create impactful & delightful interactions. I’m interested in design accessibility, online culture, and keeping the internet safe & fun.

On campus, I help professors build AR/VR adaptive-sports and teach classes about Python programming & internet history/ethics. Outside of work, I edit videos, go to concerts, and scrapbook!

my design philosophy

Before deciding on a career in Software, I studied Architecture, as I am deeply interested in how design has the force to empower communities and bring them together.

Carrying the themes of design accessibility and equity into the digital environment, I design in accordance with the Curb-Cut Effect: By investing in experiences that create space for all users, the entire collective benefits, leading to a more usable and equitable experience.

I am interested in exploring further opportunities in UX Design as they relate to Community-Building and Social Impact.
